While Despicable Me and Pixar sequels/spin-offs dominated the animation field last summer, when it comes to 2014, the season is How to Train Your Dragon‘s for the taking. Director Dean DeBlois and crew will return, this time jumping five years ahead following the story of Toothless and Hiccup. DreamWorks Animation have now dropped a final full-length trailer that reveals a few new characters and sets up more of the action.
Considering its predecessor was one of the bigger surprises in 2010, hopefully its follow-up can retain the same magic. Check it out below, along with the new poster, for the film featuring the voices of Jay Baruchel, Gerard Butler, Craig Ferguson, America Ferrera, Jonah Hill, T.J. Miller, Cate Blanchett, Kristen Wiig, and Christopher Mintz-Plasse.
Update: See the first five minutes from the film below.

When one of their adventures leads to the discovery of a secret ice cave that is home to hundreds of new wild dragons and the mysterious Dragon Rider, the two friends find themselves at the center of a battle to protect the peace. Hiccup and Toothless will lead hundreds of hero dragons in defense of Dragon Mountain, battling against Drago Bloodfist’s huge army of Dragon Hunters and their ruthless war machines.
