After a few delays and many rumors, we’ve finally got confirmation on when we’ll be able to see the latest work from Brian De Palma. Distributors eOne have officially set an August 1st VOD bow and August 30th theatrical debut for Passion, the erotic drama starring Rachel McAdams and Noomi Rapace. Despite a harping at its fall festival bow (including our own review), we’re looking forward to seeing what the director has in store and one can see the theatrical poster and official synopsis below, thanks to Film.com.
Brian De Palma returns to the sleek, sly, seductive territory of Dressed To Kill with an erotic corporate thriller fueled by sex, ambition, image, envy and the dark, murderous side of PASSION. The film stars Rachel McAdams (Midnight In Paris, Sherlock Holmes, Mean Girls) and Noomi Rapace (Prometheus, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo) as two rising female executives in a multinational corporation whose fierce competition to rise up the ranks is about to turn literally cut-throat.
We’ve also got the first theatrical poster for another anticipated August release, Brie Larson-led drama Short Term 12. Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, based on his own story, the film picked up highest honors of Narrative Feature Grand Jury Prize and Audience Award at SXSW Film Festival. As we said in our review, “Subtlety is a hard art to master, yet it abounds in the miraculously tender and poignant Short Term 12.” Check out the one-sheet below and see the recent trailer here if you missed it for the film hitting on August 23rd.
What do you think of the above posters? Are you looking forward to both films?
