Sean Anders and John Morris have co-written such comedies as Sex Drive, She’s Out of My League, and Hot Tub Time Machine. Now the pair is in talks to co-direct the impending Adam Sandler vehicle I Hate You Dad, according to Variety.
The comedy, which co-stars Andy Samberg as Sandler’s sure-to-be loose-limbed son, centers on a father who moves in with his son and his feisty fiancée on the eve of their wedding. Of course, sparks fly.
Sandler will also be producing the picture through his company, Happy Madison. And while Anders directed the road trip raunch-fest Sex Drive, this would be Morris’s first time in the director’s chair. So between its stars, directors and the fact that David Caspe, David Wain and Ken Marino penned the script, once can expect a bevy of pratfalls and lewd humor, paired with a sentimental core.
Do you think Anders and Morris are a good match for I Hate You, Dad?
