After the astounding Cloud Atlas trailer it seems like M83 are the go-to band when it comes to asserting that epic feel. The latest trailer for Jacques Audiard’s drama Rust and Bone incorporates their My Tears Are Becoming A Sea for the best look yet at the film. Starring The Dark Knight Rises supporter Marion Cotillard and Bullhead‘s Matthias Schoenaerts, we were mixed on the film back at Cannes (full review here), saying while there  “are sincere moments of genuine heartfelt emotion, the film cannot escape a sense of disjointedness that results from the cramming of several smaller narratives into the lives of two people.” I was able to check out a pre-festival screening a few weeks ago and feel similarly, but it’s certainly worth checking it, and some will have the chance at TIFF soon. In the meantime, see the trailer below via MSN and a batch of stills from HeyUGuys.

Synopsis:

Put in charge of his young son, Ali leaves Belgium for Antibes to live with his sister and her husband as a family. Ali’s bond with Stephanie, a killer whale trainer, grows deeper after Stephanie suffers a horrible accident.

Rust and Bone will land on November 16th.
