While Valentine’s Day is over, Hollywood doesn’t want you to forget the occasion and have our first look at a film that is exactly 364 days away from hitting theaters. Set to debut Valentine’s Day 2014, a red-band trailer has just been released for the remake of the 1986 film About Last Night. Based on the David Mamet play “Sexual Perversity in Chicago,” this new version has been adapted for the big screen by Bachelorette writer/director Leslye Headland. The dramedy remake reunites Think Like a Man stars Michael Ealy, Kevin Hart and Regina Hill, while Joy Bryant takes on Demi Moore‘s original role.

According to Headland, this take stays close to the original Mamet play with the exception of  taking place in Los Angeles in lieu of of Chicago. For those unfamiliar with the story, we follow Ealy and Bryant who play a couple that have moved in together and then soon split-up, while undergoing the trials and tribulations of  new found love. Hart and Hill figure in as couple’s best friends who also find unexpected romance. Stepping in for Edward Zwick is Hot Tub Time Machine director Steve Pink and one can see the extended red band trailer below.

About Last Night arrives on February 14th, 2014.

Are you a fan of the original? Should they have waited to release the trailer closer to opening?
