After taking a six-year break between Elizabethtown and We Bought a Zoo, one can now count on a relatively regular output from writer-director Cameron Crowe. The helmer has been putting together his cast for his upcoming film that may or may not be titled Deep Tiki and with the charismatic Bradley Cooper and Emma Stone already attached as leads, Deadline reports another addition.

She’ll be (briefly) appearing in Terrence Malick‘s To the Wonder this weekend and now Rachel McAdams is in negotiations to join the ensemble of Crowe’s next film as a former lover to Cooper’s character. Described as a “funny and romantic” role, the film has been likened to two of Crowe’s biggest successes, Jerry Maguire and Almost Famous.

If it is indeed the same film as Deep Tiki (those involved are tightlipped), Crowe’s script centers on a military contractor (Cooper) asked to launch a military satellite over Hawaii, a task which requires him to work alongside a liaison (Stone) that will obtain approval from the island’s spiritual leaders. With a fall shoot in store, expect a late 2014 release for the film.
