We have a little poster round-up for your Sunday evening. First up is the US one-sheet for Aardman Animation’s The Pirates! Band of Misfits, from the studio that brought us the fantastic Wallace & Gromit films as well as Chicken Run. Directed by Peter Lord, the film features voice acting by Hugh Grant, David Tennant, Imelda Staunton, Martin Freeman, and Jeremy Piven. The debut trailers made this one to look forward to, and I like the playfulness of this first poster. Check it out below via IMPAwards.

In The Pirates! Band of Misfits, Hugh Grant stars in his first animated role as the luxuriantly bearded Pirate Captain – a boundlessly enthusiastic, if somewhat less-than-successful, terror of the High Seas. With a rag-tag crew at his side (Martin Freeman, Brendan Gleeson, Russell Tovey, and Ashley Jensen), and seemingly blind to the impossible odds stacked against him, the Captain has one dream: to beat his bitter rivals Black Bellamy (Jeremy Piven) and Cutlass Liz (Salma Hayek) to the much coveted Pirate Of The Year Award. It’s a quest that takes our heroes from the shores of exotic Blood Island to the foggy streets of Victorian London. Along the way they battle a diabolical queen (Imelda Staunton) and team up with a haplessly smitten young scientist (David Tennant), but never lose sight of what a pirate loves best: adventure!
The Pirates! Band of Misfits hits theaters March 30th, 2012.
We also have a new poster for Tarsem’s Immortals. The Fall director had a panel at Comic-Con this past weekend, where he promised a much darker tone than the trailers may suggest. Henry Cavill, our Man of Steel, leads the ensemble that includes Mickey Rourke, Freida Pinto, Stephen Dorff, Luke Evans, John Hurt, and Kellan Lutz. Check out below via DailyBlam.
Synopsis:
Eons after the Gods won their mythic struggle against the Titans, a new evil threatens the land. Mad with power, King Hyperion (Mickey Rourke) has declared war against humanity. Amassing a bloodthirsty army of soldiers disfigured by his own hand, Hyperion has scorched Greece in search of the legendary Epirus Bow, a weapon of unimaginable power forged in the heavens by Ares.
Secretly chosen by Zeus, Theseus must save his people from Hyperion and his hordes. Rallying a band of fellow outsiders–including visionary priestess Phaedra (Freida Pinto) and cunning slave Stavros (Stephen Dorff) — one hero will lead the uprising, or watch his homeland fall into ruin and his Gods vanish into legend.
Immortals hits theaters November 11th, 2011.
Lastly, we have a new international poster for Marc Webb‘s The Amazing Spider-Man. It is a close match to the earlier one we saw last week. This one takes out the blue and is a bit darker. Check it out below via Bleeding Cool for the film starring Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Denis Leary, Campbell Scott, Irrfan Khan, Martin Sheen, and Sally Field. Check out the trailer here if you have yet to.
The Amazing Spider-Man hits theaters July 3rd, 2012.
What do you think of this new batch of posters? Which film do you want to see most?
