At the beginning of the month, a full-length trailer was released for the Coen brothers‘ True Grit, which really amped up my anticipation for the film. Gordon and the Whale – via USA Today – has added to the film’s cause by revealing a few new production stills from the film. They’re not anything revelatory, especially if you’ve seen the trailer, but they’ll certainly serve as a small anticipation satisfier while we await the film’s December 25 release.
No other news for now. Based on the trailer, I really think Matt Damon could make a play in supporting. Jeff Bridges is the obvious contender in the lead category — some people are even saying his chances to repeat are rather high — while, despite her young age, Hailee Steinfeld is an early player in the Supporting Actress realm.
