We’ve seen a short teaser. We’ve heard a couple casting announcements. We’ve seen some exterior set pics. Now, us as fans and audience members, have a more fulfilled cast to look forward to seeing in this sci-fi flick.
Sets are going up as cast and crew getting ready to shoot in Weirton, West Virginia, where Super 8, will be shot. A couple of weeks ago, we heard that two of the main cast members will be Kyle Chandler and Elle Fanning. Now, those two up and coming actors will be joined by several other actors who are looking to make a stamp in the alien film type genre. /Film reports that Ron Eldard, Noah Emmerich, Gabriel Basso, Joel Courtney, Riley Griffiths, Ryan Lee and Zach Mills will also be climbing aboard this movie headed my Abrams and Spielberg. That list of actors has a couple of talented names but it seems that maybe Abrams is attempting to head towards more unknowns for the slight majority of the cast.
This new announcement seems to add a little more insight to how this film will turn out. Even the plotline has been a bit vague since the beginning of this production. All we know is that it surrounds a group of young teenagers who are fooling around making movies with their super 8 camera and capture something rather sinister, and possibly alien, on tape. We can hope that as the cameras continue to roll on set, we can start to see more information pop up about this highly anticipated film.
