Clint Eastwood‘s J. Edgar already features an impressive cast of Leonardo DiCaprio, Armie Hammer, Ed Westwick, Judi Dench, and Damon Herriman. Deadline reports we have another to add to the list. Josh Lucas (American Psycho, Underow) will play aviator Charles Lindbergh.
If you are wondering how the two will connect in the film, president at the time, Franklin D. Roosevelt, wasn’t a fan of Lindbergh’s opposition to intervention, so he had FBI director Hoover investigate his entire life.
Scripted by Oscar winner Dustin Lance Black (Milk), the biopic follows Hoover’s scandalous career and controversial private life as a homosexual and rumored cross dresser. Lucas will next be seen in The Lincoln Lawyer with Matthew McConaughey.
Shooting is expected to begin soon with a possible 2012 release, but likely 2012.
What do you think of the addition of Lucas?
