I like to pretend that I am a man with good taste, but when I choose to cover news like this I begin to question myself. Jeremy Piven and Mike O’Malley have signed on for Exclusive Media Group’s action/comedy opus So Undercover, starring everyone’s favorite teen idol-on-a-downturn Miley Cyrus. [ComingSoon]

Cyrus will play Molly, a private investigator with a heaping bowl of street smarts (and one would assume an equal amount of sass) who has to infiltrate a college sorority on orders from the FBI. The catch? She is sooooo totally not a sorority girl so, like, it’s totally weird and junk. Piven will be FBI Agent Armon and O’Malley will get the honor of playing Molly’s father. No word on if he’ll don a soul patch and write a novelty country song to prepare for the role.

Also starring in So Undercover is Kelly Osbourne (wait…WHAT?) as Becky, one of the sorority sisters that Molly most likely befriends along the way. Josh Bowman will be the romantic interest for Cyrus and the rest of the cast is filled with people I’ve never heard of.

I don’t know about you guys, but I’m totally pumped for all the wonderful hijinks that So Undercover promises, and to watch Piven and O’Malley bring their D-game.

How bad do you feel for Piven and O’Malley, or do you think So Undercover has potential, despite the cast and the fact it’s directed by the guy who did What Happens in Vegas? Also, while we’re on the subject of O’Malley, feel free to reminisce about GUTS and how awesome that show was.
