In 1980, there was a siege on the Iranian Embassy in London, which led to a tense standoff between the SAS and the six gunmen inside. Nearly 40 years later, the story will hit the big screen with 6 Days, an action thriller from The Dead Lands director Toa Fraser. Ahead of a U.K. release this summer, the first trailer has now arrived.
Starring Jamie Bell (Snowpiercer) and Mark Strong, and penned by Glenn Standring (The Dead Lands), 6 Days was shot on location in Princess Gate, London for maximum authenticity. Whether this commitment to detail and accuracy will lend to a thriller worth your time is set to be seen, but it seems they’ve gotten off on the right foot. See the trailer below, along with a poster, synopsis, and set of images, with a tip of the hat to HeyUGuys.
In April 1980, six armed gunmen stormed the Iranian Embassy in Princes Gate, London, taking 26 people inside hostage. Over the next six days a tense standoff took place, all the while a group of highly trained soldiers from the SAS prepared for a raid, the likes of which the world had never seen before.
6 Days will hit U.K. cinemas on August 4th, but has yet to secure a U.S. release.
