The excitement for Ridley Scott‘s Prometheus around these parts couldn’t really get any higher. The film was a consistent staple in several of our year-in-review compilations, first coming in at #3 on our Top 10 Trailers of 2011 list, and, shortly thereafter, placing at #11 — a few spots higher than my personal #1, The Dark Knight Rises — on our 145 Most-Anticipated Films of 2012 list.

With all of that in mind, the debuting of the international poster below would’ve needed to be something completely out of left-field to alter our anticipation in any significant way. And it isn’t, which is perfectly fine. In fact, it bears a nearly note-by-note resemblance to the first theatrical poster that was released back in mid-December. The top half of the one-sheet is enhanced rather forcefully — for the better, I think — but other than that, it’s the same basic image. [Alien Prequel News]

In case you’ve forgotten the entire all-star cast on board, here’s a rundown of the principal names: Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Idris Elba, Logan Marshall-Green, Sean Harris, Guy Pearce, Kate Dickie, Rafe Spall, Benedict Wong, Emun Elliott, Ben Foster, and Patrick Wilson.
