The controversial Annie Awards announced their winners last night. Dreamworks won this years ongoing feud with Pixar, as How To Train Your Dragon swept up 10 awards, including Best Picture. Although Toy Story 3 lost, Pixar secured a win with its preceding short, Day & Night. Out of the 10 awards for Dragon, John Powell won for his fantastic score, but I found it a bit surprising Jay Baruchel won for his voice acting as Hiccup as I thought even Gerard Butler did a better job. Brad Bird, Eric Goldberg and Matt Groening received the The Winsor McCay award, highlighting animation leaders in the industry.
