While the horror anthology V/H/S debuted to success this year (as evidence with a sequel already premiering at Sundance 2013), another entry in the genre is set to be released early next year. Instead of a handful of loosely connected shorts, ABCs of Death goes for quantity with its 26 separate offerings from a handful of genre directors, from already established helmers to a few promising newcomers.

We recently got a disturbing red band trailer and now Magnolia has delivered a green band look which still sells the film effectively, even with a lot less blood. Teaming Hobo with a Shotgun director Jason Eisener, A Serbian Film‘s Srdjan SpasojevicTimecrimes helmer Nacho Vigalondo, Kill List‘s Ben Wheatley, the You’re Next team of Adam Wingard and Simon Barrett and many more, check it out below via Apple.

Synopsis:

Twenty-six directors. Twenty-six ways to die. The ABC’s OF DEATH is perhaps the most ambitious anthology film ever conceived with productions spanning fifteen countries and featuring segments directed by over two dozen of the world’s leading talents in contemporary genre film. Inspired by children’s educational books, the motion picture is comprised of twenty-six individual chapters; each helmed by a different director assigned a letter of the alphabet. The directors were then given free reign in choosing a word to create a story involving death. Provocative, shocking, funny and ultimately confrontational, THE ABC’s OF DEATH is the definitive vision of modern horror diversity.

ABCs of Death arrives on demand on January 31st and in theaters on March 8th.
