The doldrums of winter have set in and we’re all snapping up any glimpses we can of this summer’s tentpole flicks: the Greens (both Lantern and Hornet), the Cowboys vs. Aliens, the aliens themselves (Paul), a do-gooder with a fancy shield (Captain America: The First Avenger), the spider-men (Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man – sorry, snappy line escaped me there), ancient Norse gods mistaken for superheroes – who, as it turns out, have been mistaken for ancient Norse gods all along – who knew? (Thor)
We at TFS know what the five-year-old inside of you is really wetting his pants for: photos of Jim Carrey with CG penguins! Well, we’ve got ’em, thanks for /Film [via USA Today]. Here are the first official photos from Jim “I Know I Just Played A Gay Con Man, But I’m Still That Doofus From Liar Liar And Thus Totally Kid-Friendly” Carrey’s upcoming comedy Mr. Popper’s Penguins, about “a businessman whose professional side starts to unravel after he inherits six penguins, and as he transforms his apartment into a winter wonderland.”
Mr. Popper’s Penguins is directed by Mark Waters (Freaky Friday, Mean Girls) and co-stars Carla Gugino, Ophelia Lovibond, Philip Baker Hall, Andrew Stewart-Jones, James Tupper, Clark Gregg, David Krumholtz and Angela Lansbury.
Are you going to see Mr. Popper’s Penguins, or would you rather watch both Ace Ventura movies back-to-back before an In Living Color marathon just to OD on Jim Carrey?
