While roles in Argo, Killing Them Softly and Promised Land, it’s safe to say this is the fall of up-and-comer Scoot McNairy. However, Ellen Page hasn’t had quite the some luck as her safe bet of starring up in Woody Allen‘s Midnight In Paris follow-up, To Rome To Love, didn’t pan out the same way. Nonetheless, both actors are set to team in a promising Sundance drama, Touchy Feely.
Coming from Your Sister’s Sister director Lynn Shelton, we got the first look at stars Rosemarie DeWitt and Josh Pais, but now EW has given us images of the rest of the supporting cast, including Page (who also stars in Zal Batmanglij‘s Sundance-bound The East), McNairy and Allison Janney. Shelton says this film “doesn’t have this rollicky, bantering feel” as her last few features and although it “has laughs..it really is a drama.” The story follows “a massage therapist who is unable to do her job when stricken with a mysterious and sudden aversion to bodily contact. Meanwhile, her uptight brother’s foundering dental practice receives new life when clients seek out his “healing touch.” Check out the new images above and below.
Sundance Film Festival kicks off on January 17th, 2013.
