The first full-length trailer for Guy Ritchie’s sequel to his 2009 hit, Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, will be attached to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, but as usual practice Entertainment Tonight has butchered the first pieces of footage with their usual voice-over and flashy TV-friendly cuts. The glimpse of footage (which can be seen below in low quality) tells us Ritchie’s super slow-motion speed ramping is back and the usual hijinks between Robert Downey Jr. (in drag this time) and Jude Law have returned again. We also get a look at the train action set-piece hinted at in ET’s last preview.

We also have our first pair of posters for the film from Yahoo, which can be seen below the trailer preview for WB’s blockbuster also starring Noomi Rapace, Jared Harris, Eddie Marsan, Stephen Fry, and Gilles Lellouche. The trailer is expected to hit this week, so come back for the full thing in HD.

Guy Ritchie helms a new action-packed adventure, following the world’s most famous detective, Sherlock Holmes (Robert Downey Jr.), and his longtime trusted associate, Dr. Watson (Jude Law), as they match wits with their arch-nemesis, the criminal genius Moriarty (Jared Harris).

Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows hits theaters December 16th, 2011.
