The red band trailer for the Evil Dead remake supplied enough shocking gore to turn even the most skeptical cult horror fan. With the blood-soaked images still fresh in everyone’s memory, it’s hard to imagine that the green band trailer would deliver the same effect. Regardless, it’s here, and the toned-down promo actually provides a genuinely compelling tease at more horrors to come. It’s also a good option for those scaredy cats not yet ready for the real thing.

Synopsis:
In the much anticipated remake of the 1981 cult-hit horror film, five twenty-something friends become holed up in a remote cabin. When they discover a Book of the Dead, they unwittingly summon up dormant demons living in the nearby woods, which possess the youngsters in succession until only one is left intact to fight for survival.
The directorial debut of Fede Alvarez will see its world premiere in March at SXSW, making it the one big horror film among the Austin selections. Evil Dead will then hit theaters on April 12th.
