RopeOfSilicon has posted a piece of teaser art from the Martin Scorsese’s new film Shutter Island starring Leonardo DiCaprio. It was scanned out of the Berliner Zeitung newspaper as part of a story about TMG/Concorde, the film’s distributor. Check it out below (click for hi-res):
Synopsis: Drama is set in 1954, U.S. Marshal Teddy Daniels is investigating the disappearance of a murderess who escaped from a hospital for the criminally insane and is presumed to be hiding on the remote Shutter Island.
Martin Scorsese (The Departed, Goodfellas) directing Leonardo Dicaprio, Mark Ruffalo, Ben Kingsley, Emily Mortimer, and Michelle Williams adapted from a Dennis Lehane (Gone Baby Gone, Mystic River) novel. I can’t wait. This poster looks a little darker than I imagined. It looks like they have finally settled on Shutter Island as the title (Ashecliffe was rumored).
Shutter Island is set for a October 2nd release.
