According to THR Nicolas Cage has signed on to play the lead role in Drive Angry. The film is a revenge action movie that Patrick Lussier (My Bloody Valentine 3D) is set to direct for Nu Image/Millenium Films. With Michael De Luca producing. Executive Producers include Danny Dimbort, Trevor Short, Avi Lerner and Boaz Davidson. The film is also written by Lussier and Todd Farmer. The story, according to THR “centers on a man (Cage) driven by rage who is chasing the people who killed his daughter and kidnapped her baby. The vendetta/rescue spins out of control as the chase gets bloodier by the mile, leaving bodies strewn along the highway.” Production is set to begin in April in Louisiana.
