The team will “select winners from 58 entries from four competition section including the Grand Jury Prize. The festival will screen 118 feature films this year. ” Unlike previous years, this press release makes it seem like there is a single 5-person jury to decide all four majorities categories, unlike last year. We will update when we have more info.

Bong Joon-ho is easily one of my favorite directors after delivering Memories of Murder, The Host, and most recently Mother. He is prepping his next feature, Snow Piercer, and possibly has a collaboration with J.J. Abrams in the works. Why don’t they just schedule another meeting when he is over here? He is also planning a 3D sequel to his monster hit The Host. Check out our interview with the acclaimed director here.

The Film Stage will report from Sundance this year, as the festival kicks off next week.
