Is Terrence Malick actually going to start another film right after he finishes another? It’s a practice unheard for the mysterious director. The Wrap is reporting that his next project will actually start filming this October with a few new cast members.
This means the long-delayed Tree of Life could finally be finished anytime now. As for his next, Academy Award winners Ben Affleck and Rachel Weisz has joined the project, which was “announced at the Berlin Film Festival, where it was described as a romantic drama and a powerful and moving love story.” Affleck will be replacing Christian Bale and will join Javier Bardem, Rachel McAdams and Olga Kurylenko.
In other Affleck news, the poster for his sophmore directorial effort, The Town has premiered via Joblo.
The Town hits theaters Sept. 17th.
Do you think Affleck switching out with Bale is a good choice? Are you excited for The Town?
