While a trio of comedy sequels will be arriving this fall (Horrible Bosses 2, Dumb and Dumber To, and Hot Tub Time Machine 2), the one offering in the genre that’s most caught our attention is Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg‘s This is the End follow-up, The Interview. Following Rogen and James Franco as TV journalists who get entangled in a plot to kill Kim Jong Un, the first teaser was light on laughs, but it was already enough to get North Korea perturbed.

A new full-length trailer has now landed which trades the sense of mystery from that first preview for many, many dick jokes. We suppose we expect nothing less from Rogen and Franco, but hopefully there’s still some weirdness to be had. Thankfully this red band trailer seems to mostly be the set-up (aside from one gag at the end), so check it out below, featuring many familiar faces, and let us know what you think in the comments below.

Update: See a slightly different green-band trailer below.

In the action-comedy The Interview, Dave Skylark (James Franco) and his producer Aaron Rapoport (Seth Rogen) run the popular celebrity tabloid TV show “Skylark Tonight.” When they discover that North Korean leader Kim Jong-un is a fan of the show, they land an interview with him in an attempt to legitimize themselves as journalists. As Dave and Aaron prepare to travel to Pyongyang, their plans change when the CIA recruits them, perhaps the two least-qualified men imaginable, to assassinate Kim Jong-un.

The Interview opens on December 25th.
