Our great national fear is at its end: The Wolf of Wall Street will come out this year, and, judging by its runtime, will be plenty of movie for us to ingest. As an appropriate follow-up to that little sigh of relief, Paramount have released another full-length preview showing off the latest Martin Scorsese–Leonardo DiCaprio collaboration — a bit that has the not-insignificant misfortune of following-up one of the best trailers in recent years, but which, I think, still equips itself rather nicely.
Favoring some more narrative / character exposition over the “Black Skinhead”-propelled madness of a rich man’s life spun out of control in about 110 seconds’ time, it’s admittedly less thrilling (also due to it not being any sort of “first look”) than what came in June, but arguably just as crucial: seeing more substantial examples of Casino-esque delivery from Scorsese‘s latest (and not just crazy images) is, to some extent, a relief. The rest is something we need not get into much commentary on, save for the continued pleasures of DiCaprio maintaining his break from the “my dead wife!” gambit that had been growing stale in recent years; the pairing between he and Jonah Hill would seem to be paying off richly, too. Now, let’s just see the whole thing from top to bottom.

With a supporting cast that includes Cristin Milioti, Jean Dujardin, Kyle Chandler, Margot Robbie, Jon Bernthal, Rob Reiner, Kenneth Choi, P.J. Byrne, Ethan Suplee, Max Hoffman, Katarina Cas, and Jon Favreau, The Wolf of Wall Street will open on December 25.
