How do you sell a film with over two dozen directors? With the first red band trailer for the omnibus horror film The ABCs of Death, Magnet Releasing has done quite a remarkable job. Equal parts bloody, funny and all-around unsettling, the look jumps around to a number of the shorts, showing just enough to intrigue fans of the genre.
Teaming Hobo with a Shotgun director Jason Eisener, A Serbian Film‘s Srdjan Spasojevic, Timecrimes helmer Nacho Vigalondo, Kill List‘s Ben Wheatley, the You’re Next team of Adam Wingard and Simon Barrett and many more, check it out below via Yahoo, along with 1/26th of the feature with Lee Hardcastle‘s previously shared claymation short T Is For Toilet.
Twenty-six directors. Twenty-six ways to die. The ABC’s OF DEATH is perhaps the most ambitious anthology film ever conceived with productions spanning fifteen countries and featuring segments directed by over two dozen of the world’s leading talents in contemporary genre film. Inspired by children’s educational books, the motion picture is comprised of twenty-six individual chapters; each helmed by a different director assigned a letter of the alphabet. The directors were then given free reign in choosing a word to create a story involving death. Provocative, shocking, funny and ultimately confrontational, THE ABC’s OF DEATH is the definitive vision of modern horror diversity.
ABCs of Death arrives on demand on January 31st and in theaters on March 8th.
