Although I’m generally not a fan of horror, there is one upcoming project that has me excited. Despite a few gems, many horror flicks now-a-days just seem repetitive and excessively gory with little substance. But taken in a short form, I’m much more open to the genre. Drafthouse Films, Magnet Pictures and Timpson Films are teaming to deliver the ultimate in short-form horror.
They are putting together an anthology titled The ABC’s of Death that includes Hobo with a Shotgun director Jason Eisener, A Serbian Film‘s Srdjan Spasojevic, Timecrimes helmer Nacho Vigalondo and the guy behind the insane upcoming Kill List, Ben Wheatley. That is only a small portion of the 26 directors involved, each taking a letter.
The filmmakers left one letter open for anyone to submit a film. The letter was T and after whittling down to ten contenders, Lee Hardcastle‘s claymation short T Is For Toilet had the most votes and was declared the winner. It will be included in the full film, but it is available today to check out. It is a gloriously bloody, inventive thriller that will have you scared to go to the bathroom. Check it out below, followed by the full list of directors.
