After infecting the world in Contagion, Steven Soderbergh is narrowing down his victims for his final theatrical film (for hopefully just some time) with Side Effects. Tracking the use of a pharmaceutical drug that turns dangerous for Rooney Mara, we got a trailer for the film last month and today a video has landed introducing the substance.
Reminiscent of Limitless‘ viral ad, Open Road Films have launched a site, complete with a seemingly professional video explaining the use and side effects of the drug Albixa. One can also get evaluated by Jude Law (who plays Mara’s doctor in the film) and go through a series of questions either by microphone or mouseclick. It’s a neat introduction and something we often don’t get for Soderbergh’s films, so check it out below for the project also staring Channing Tatum, Vinessa Shaw and Catherine Zeta-Jones.
Side Effects hits theaters on February 8th.
