With production underway, Anchorman: The Legend Continues is barreling towards a release at year’s end and it seems like things are going quite well on set. We’ve now got word that three of the film’s major players are set to team up for another comedy, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Unlike Paramount’s Ron Burgundy franchise, this one is an independent comedy that brings together Will Ferrell and Adam McKay as producers through their Gary Sanchez Production. Titled Welcome to Me McKay’s wife Shira Piven (yes, Jeremy Piven‘s older sister) is set to helm and they’ve now found their lead star with Kristen Wiig.

Scripted by TV writer Eliot Laurence, the film would have Wiig take on some mental illness, mixed in with the comedy (not unlike this summer’s disappointing dramedy Girl Most Likely), as the story has her battling a dissociative personality disorder as she becomes a lottery winner and puts all of her cash towards a cable access talk show focusing around her own life. As this one gears up for production, if one needs further proof at the comedy Wiig and Ferrell can muster up, look no further than directly below.
