When all is said and done, hopefully there will be some surprises Adam McKay left within Anchorman: The Legend Continues, but the way things are progressing, we are doubtful. The director previously revealed the cast would be stocked full of recognizable faces, and one by one, they are being revealed. So for those who want to stay in the dark, turn away now.
We know that Will Ferrell, Steve Carell, Paul Rudd, Christina Applegate and David Koechner are all returning, while Harrison Ford, John C. Reilly, Kristen Wiig, James Marsden, Meagan Good, Josh Lawson, Greg Kinnear and Dylan Baker will join the rest of the ensemble, and now we’ve got a trio of new actors coming aboard.
According to THR, Nicole Kidman is set to pop up in a small cameo in the movie, but no details yet on who she will play. We’ve also got word the Vince Vaughn and Luke Wilson, who briefly appeared as rival newsmen in the first film, will come back for “tiny parts.” In the meantime, one can see Ford discuss his “bizarre” experience on set, one that included not remembering anyone’s name. Then look further as Rudd premieres the “first clip” from the film on Conan O’Brien‘s show.
Anchorman: The Legend Continues opens on December 20th.
