Skipping the major festivals, Sony Pictures Classics will be yet again releasing the latest film from Woody Allen this summer, following up last year’s To Rome with Love. After a batch of images and debut poster, the indie distributor has finally revealed the first trailer for the San Francisco-set Blue Jasmine.
Led by Cate Blanchett the film follows her character’s final stages of an acute crisis and a life of a fashionable New York housewife. Taking a bit of a darker turn towards the end of this look, Blanchett seems to be giving a top-notch performance amidst the strong ensemble. Check it out below for the film starring Alec Baldwin, Bobby Cannavale, Louis C.K., Andrew Dice Clay, Peter Sarsgaard, Sally Hawkins and Michael Stuhlbarg.
Blue Jasmine opens on July 26th.
