After taking some time off and going through c-c-c-c-hanges The Wachowskis (The Matrix, Speed Racer) are back to making films. Currently in production is CN-9, an Iraqi war movie that “includes two male soldiers falling in love and a plot to assassinate George W. Bush.” They’ve already partially shot some of it and waiting for more financing to come through. Just last week it was rumored they could be shooting an adaptation of Cloud Atlas with Halle Berry and Tom hanks. Tonight, Heat Vision has uncovered another project they’ve signed on for.

Warner Bros. has hired them to write and direct a “modern, urban take on the Robin Hood myth” simply titled Hood. We know very little, except that they are currently casting, and have reached out to Will Smith. That’s all there is thus far. I’m really looking forward to see what the duo do next, even though I thought Speed Racer was a failure in more ways than just at the box office. They are still a talented pair and looking forward to a more low-budget effort with CN-9, considering what happened with the overblown Matrix sequels.

What upcoming Wachowski project are you most looking forward to?
