Two years, almost to this exact date, we reported that Terrence Malick‘s The Tree of Life may have dinosaurs and may be shown in IMAX. This was back when it was a rumored two-part saga, with the documentary Voyage of Time accompanying the film. It was thought that the documentary would surround all of the universe footage and that The Tree of Life would be the family story. If you’ve seen the trailer or read any other reports, we know now it’s just a single (2 hour and 18 minute) film. We now have some more details in an interview Little White Lies conducted with visual effects supervisor Dan Glass, who has also worked with Christopher Nolan on Batman Begins and The Wachowskis on The Matrix Reloaded.
UPDATE: Content removed at the request of Fox.
What do you think about dinosaurs in The Tree of Life? Do you think it will get an IMAX release?
