It’s been reported by ERC Box Office and Universal Pictures (via Coming Soon) that Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, Edgar Wright‘s next film, will be released on August 13th. It will now open next to Sylvester Stallone action throwback The Expendables and Eat, Pray, Love starring Julia Roberts and James Franco. Also, the third film of the ‘Fockers’ trilogy, Little Fockers, is being shifted from its previously decided July 30th date to December 22nd.

Since Little Fockers will be leaving a gap in the release schedule for Universal Pictures, they’ve also decided to release George Nolfi‘s The Adjustment Bureau, starring Matt Damon, on July 30th.

We also reported that Clash of the Titans got pushed back to April 2nd (likely for the 3D addition), so MGM took no time and moved up Hot Tub Time Machine to the previously held spot of March 26th.

I’m glad to see Scott Pilgrim getting a summer release (as expected) and have not much to say about the rest, I’ll see those when I see them. I can’t wait for the release of Vol.6 of the graphic novel, which will be sometime before the film. Check out the first official Little Fockers still below.

What are your thoughts on these release date shuffles?
