Seriously, I would highly advise to stay away from these people. They look deathly sick. Warner Bros. is about to pump up their campaign for Steven Soderbergh‘s virus thriller Contagion and a NYTimes article says they will focus on a “gasping, bug-eyed Ms. [Gwyneth] Paltrow,” with the clear evidence in these new character posters.

The early word on the film starring Matt Damon, Kate Winslet, Laurence Fishburne, Elliott Gould, Jude Law, Marion Cotillard and Jennifer Ehle is that it is “really, really dark and really, really scary,” the article states. We’ve posted the trailer and two TV spots, but get a glimpse at the horror below via Yahoo Movies and click for high-resolution.

Synopsis:

“Contagion” follows the rapid progress of a lethal airborne virus that kills within days. As the fast-moving epidemic grows, the worldwide medical community races to find a cure and control the panic that spreads faster than the virus itself. At the same time, ordinary people struggle to survive in a society coming apart.

Scripted by Scott Z. Burns, Contagion hits IMAX theaters September 9th, 2011. Soderbergh will then follow it up in January with his action thriller Haywire.
