The last animated Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film TMNT was a serious disappointment to the hardcore fans of the live action films from the early 90s. Thankfully Michael Bay stills sees promise in the treasured live action franchise and wants to bring it back to life.

Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon have brought Michael Bay and his Platinum Dunes partners Brad Fuller and Andrew Form on to produce Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the live-action film that reboots the film series launched by New Line in 1990. Bay, Fuller and Form will produce with Galen Walker and Scott Mednick. Source Latino Review

I’m not a huge Bay fan, but this has me somewhat excited since the trilogy of live action turtle films were some of favorite childhood cinematic moments (except for the 3rd one). If they can recapture the magic and get the feel for the original films, then all I can say is Cowabunga dude.

Are you excited for a live action reboot of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles?
