With The Weinstein Company shifting one of their biopics, Nicole Kidman‘s Grace of Monaco, to next year, some eyes are on Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom to see if Harvey and crew can effectively coerce the Academy into giving it Oscar gold. But, for those that are simply hoping it’s a good movie, the buzz out of its Toronto International Film Festival was unremarkably soft. Though, to gear things up again the studio have now let loose a new full-length trailer.

Coming from Justin Chadwick (The Other Boleyn Girl) and a script from William Nicholson (Gladiator, Les Misérables), it still looks like a strong central performance from Elba as the South African president is the major draw here. This new trailer also includes another awards bait bid, U2‘s original song Ordinary Love. Check out the trailer below, along with the full press conference from Toronto International Film Festival and new clips, for the film also starring Skyfall’s Naomie Harris, Tony Kgoroge, Riaad Moosa, Zolani Mkiva and Jamie Bartlett.

Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom arrives on November 29th.
