When it comes to Don Coscarelli, you never know quite what to expect. Following up Bubba Ho-Tep, which premiered almost exactly a decade ago, one could guess the finale in John Dies at the End, but this one is all about the journey — and it looks to pack something completely insane. After a teaser over a year ago, Magnet Releasing picked up the film which debuted in festivals this year, and we’ve now got a theatrical trailer.

Filled with a man made of meat, time (and dimension) travel, peculiar surroundings and much, much more, this should be one of the most delirious enjoyable films of the fall. Check it out below, via Apple, for the film starring Paul Giamatti, Chase Williamson, Rob Mayes, Clancy Brown, Glynn Turman, Doug Jones, Daniel Roebuck, Jonny Weston and Fabianne Therese.

Synopsis:

It’s a drug that promises an out-of-body experience with each hit. On the street they call it Soy Sauce, and users drift across time and dimensions. But some who come back are no longer human. Suddenly a silent otherworldly invasion is underway, and mankind needs a hero. What it gets instead is John and David, a pair of college dropouts who can barely hold down jobs. Can these two stop the oncoming horror in time to save humanity? No. No, they can’t.

John Dies at the End his VOD on December 27th and in theaters on January 25th.
