Well, this isn’t very nice for fans. Despite the entire thing leaking online, it looks like Paramount is keeping the full teaser for The Avengers only in theaters after Captain America: The First Avenger. They just released a portion of the final scene from Joe Johnston‘s excellent blockbuster, as well as a preview for The Avengers teaser following. If they are trying to garner more box office for Captain, wouldn’t the die-hard fans already have gone opening weekend to see this teaser? Why not just release the full thing now? Oh well, I honestly don’t remember the teaser being much longer than what you see below, but you can check out the preview in HD via Yahoo.

Joss Whedon‘s film stars Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Mark Ruffalo (replacing Edward Norton as The Hulk), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Chris Evans (Captain America), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye) and Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow) along with numerous other familiar faces such as Samuel L. Jackson, Stellan Skarsgard and Cobie Smulders.

The Avengers hits theaters May 4th, 2012.
