Although shooting has been underway for some time, we have a late addition to Anton Corbijn‘s drama Life. Variety reports that Joel Edgerton has jumped about, portraying an editor for Magnum Photography named John Morris, who is instrumental in the events of film. As scripted by Luke Davies, the story centers on the relationship between James Dean (Dane DeHaan) and Life Magazine‘s Dennis Stock (Robert Pattinson), the latter of whom had been tasked with capturing the up-and-coming actor less than a year before his rise to stardom and tragic death. Also starring Ben Kingsley and Alessandra Mastronardi (To Rome With Love), expect a festival premiere for the film later this year.

Next up, as Clint Eastwood puts the finishing touches on his Jersey Boys adaptation, he’s lining up the stars for his next project. With Bradley Cooper set to produce and star in American Sniper, The Wrap reports another addition; Sienna Miller is in talks to play the role of the wife of Navy SEAL Chris Kyle in the film based on his autobiography. Scripted by Jason Dean Hall (Spread), the best-selling novel told of Kyle’s experience in the military and how, during this time, he came to set the record for most sniper kills by any American, the number being anywhere from 160 to 255. Production kicks off next month and considering how fast the director works, we could see it by the end of the year.

With the aforementioned Corbijn taking on one John le Carré adaptation, we have news on another. Things are getting underway for Our Kind of Traitor, coming from director Susanna White, and with Ewan McGregor set to lead alongside Damian Lewis and Mark Gatiss, another member has been added. Daily Mail reports that Skyfall’Naomie Harris has taken a role in the story following a couple who gets mixed up with a Russian oligarch and major money launderer, only to find themselves caught up in his plans to defect. With a script from Hossein Amini (The Two Faces of January, Drive), production begins at the end of March, before Harris shoots another Bond film.

Lastly, with Uma Thurman recently joining Jesse Eisenberg and Kristen Stewart in American Ultra, word of another player has come in. Deadline reports that Walton Goggins (Justified, Django Unchained) has taken the role of Laugher in project coming from Project X‘s Nima Nourizadeh, but not much more details are known regarding his character. Scripted by Max Landis, the film follows Eisenberg as a pothead who lives a simple life in a small town with his girlfriend Phoebe (Stewart). Everything changes, however, when something from his past comes back to haunt him and the government wants to take him down.

Which of the above projects are you most looking forward to?
