Tim Burton Plans 3D Stop-Motion ‘Addams Family’ Feature

In wildly surprising news, Tim Burton’s next animated project will be based on a gothic cartoon. It will be a 3D stop-motion animated film based on Charles Addams‘ cartoon, The Addams Family. Deadline reports that Burton’s adaptation will have nothing to do with the 1960s TV series, the two different`90s feature film comedies, or the Broadway musical opening this spring. Todd Solondz’s ‘Life During Wartime’ International Trailer


Todd Solondz’s latest film Life During Wartime, a pseudo-sequel to his 1998 cult hit Happiness, has received it’s first trailer. It comes in the form of an international promo via Allocine. This was one of the last films (of nearly 30) I saw at Toronto International Film Festival and I was pretty burnt out, so I fell asleep during the first half. I’m looking forward to revisiting it, but from what I saw it definitely contained the Solondz we love (or hate). The film stars Shirley Henderson, Michael K. Williams, Allison Janney, Michael Lerner, Dylan Riley Snyder, Paul Reubens and Ciarán Hinds. Check out the trailer below. Read the full story

‘Eat, Pray, Love’ Trailer

The trailers just don’t end today. Next up is Glee and Nip/Tuck writer/producer Ryan Murphy’s Eat, Pray, Love, an film adaptation of the wildly popular memoir by Elizabeth Gilbert; Eat, Pray, Love: One Woman’s Search for Everything Across Italy, India and Indonesia. The film stars Julia Roberts, James Franco, Richard Jenkins, Javier Bardem, Viola Davis and Billy Crudup.

I’m certainly not the key demographic for this one, but boasting a stellar cast and talented director, I will definitely see it. Check it out below or in HD over at Yahoo. You can bet the trailer will be attached to The Bounty Hunter this weekend as well. Read the full story

Terrorist Comedy ‘Four Lions’ Receives Trailer

Terrorism and comedy usually aren’t used in the same sentence, but for Chris Morris‘ directorial debut, Four Lions, it’s appropriate. The trailer for the Sundance hit has just debuted via MSN and it looks like a wildly funny satire. The film is written by Peep Show creators Sam Bain and Jesse Armstrong. Check it out below. ‘The Mechanic’ Trailer Starring Jason Statham

Jason Statham seems to crank out more action films then anyone in Hollywood these days. His latest is a remake of the 1972 Charles Bronson thriller, The Mechanic. Director of Con Air, Simon West is behind the film in which Statham plays the killer Jan-Michael Vincent, who takes on a apprentice, Ben Foster. First ‘Scott Pilgrim’ Poster: “An Epic of Epic Epicness”

ShoWest is in full swing this week as Toy Story 3 screened last night to overwhelming (and expected) praise. When walking around this Las Vegas convention one can find “standees” and new posters for a wealth of upcoming 2010 films. The latest two standees come in the form of Scott Pilgrim Vs.
