It’s a great time to be a movie-goer; as we’ve highlighted, this past weekend saw the release of the tension-filled Gravity, while next week will provide another heaping with Captain Phillips. Following that, we will have the release two of the year’s finest films, Steve McQueen‘s 12 Years a Slave and Abdellatif Kechiche‘s Blue is the Warmest Color.

With both receiving the top honors after their premieres — TIFF’s Audience Award and the Palme d’Or, respectively — today brings new clips from each. First up, in the acclaimed slavery drama, one can see Chiwetel Ejiofor come to terms with his horrible situation (with a brief appearance by Michael K. Williams). Then we have a clip for the three-hour romantic drama, which sees Léa Seydoux and Adèle Exarchopoulo sharing their first kiss. Check out below below via Apple/The Playlist.

Update: Watch another clip below via HitFix.
