Coming off one of our favorite films of the year thus far, Venus In Fur, Roman Polanski will soon embark on his political thriller D, but today we’re taking a look back at one of his finest accomplishments, Rosemary’s Baby. Following a 45-minute documentary on the 1968 horror drama we have a new one running around the same length, courtesy of The Criterion Collection and Vice.
Available on Criterion’s release, but now online in full, the film features interviews with Polanski, lead Mia Farrow and producer Robert Evans regarding the creation of the psychological horror. Touching on Polanski’s technical craft, there are also behind-the-scenes stories of how it led to Farrow’s divorce with Frank Sinatra, and much more. Along with the look at Rosemary’s Baby, we also have Roman Polanski: A Film Memoir, the 2011 feature-length documentary from Laurent Bouzereau, which features a conversation with the director on his life and career. Check out both videos below.
Rosemary’s Baby is now available on The Criterion Collection.
