For all you diehard fans keeping track, when Joyful Noise arrives in January, it will break the 364-day streak of no Queen Latifah movies hitting theaters. After last January’s The Dilemma, the singer/actress teams with another singer/actress, “The Queen of Country Music” herself, Dolly Parton. Todd Graff, who directed the better-than-it-should-have-been Bandslam helms Noise.
This generic trailer isn’t doing any favors to the familiar story of an unlikely partners teaming together to achieve something great, but I hope Graff brings something special to this one.
