To those looking for some family adventure, today brings two new trailers that should meet your needs. First up, The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water will be arriving early next year and the first footage has landed today. Coming from Paul Tibbitt, the film finds our characters heading out of the animated world for a live-action hybrid production and the results are, to be frank, a little unsettling.
Then we have the first look at Night At The Museum: Secret Of The Tomb, the third feature in Shawn Levy‘s trilogy. This one brings together actors new and old to the franchise, including Ben Stiller, Rebel Wilson, Robin Williams, Ben Kingsley, Dan Stevens, Owen Wilson, Skyler Gisondo, Steve Coogan and Ricky Gervais. It’s also said to be closing things out for the series (hooray!), so celebrate with the preview, which can also be seen below.
SpongeBob and his friends need to go on a quest to discover a stolen recipe that takes them to our dimension, our world, where they tangle with a pirate who posesses the recipe. And in order to get it, SpongeBob transforms into a superhero named Invincibubble (while Patrick becomes Mr. Superawsomeness, Sandy stays as herself, Mr. Krabs becomes the Iron Man-like Sir Pinch-a-lot, Plankton becomes a yet unknown Hulk-like superhero, and Squidward becomes Sour Note).
Get ready for the wildest and most adventure-filled Night At the Museum ever as Larry (Ben Stiller) spans the globe, uniting favorite and new characters while embarking on an epic quest to save the magic before it is gone forever.
Night At The Museum: Secret Of The Tomb arrives on December 19th, while The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water opens on February 6th.
