Ah, awards season time — when studios will do just about anything to get their films seen by anyone remotely involved in the industry. For the occasion, Universal have launched their official awards site and in it, we’ve got a fresh script from a film that has yet to be seen by just about everyone.
If you’ve been curious about Judd Apatow’s latest dramedy This Is 40, then perhaps some of that wonder can be quelled. The full script is now up in PDF form on the official site, and you can click here to download/read it. According LACMA, where the first screening will take place next month), the film runs a lengthy 134 minutes, just a bit shorter than his last film, Funny People.
As we’ve seen in the latest trailer, this project sees the return of Knocked Up‘s Pete (Paul Rudd) and Debbie (Leslie Mann) as they continue married life, alongside a strong cast including Megan Fox, John Lithgow, Iris Apatow, Maude Apatow, Melissa McCarthy, Robert Smigel, Charlene Yi and Albert Brooks. If Universal’s hopes come true, an Oscar nod for Apatow next year would make it his first.
This is 40 hits theaters December 21st.
