It’s safe to say that Lynne Ramsay is in a great spot when it comes to her relatively young career in filmmaking. After last year’s stellar We Need to Talk About Kevin, she’s already set to begin production on her next film — a western titled Jane Got a Gun starring Natalie Portman and Michael Fassbender. Now word has come in that financing is set on yet another film.

THR lets us know that an upcoming project, which has been described as Moby Dick in outerspace has financing and producing help set from Scott Pictures (no relation to Scott Free). With a title reveal of Mobius, the film will pair Ramsay back with her Kevin screenwriter Rory Kinnear for what is a “psychological action thriller set in deep space,” following “a captain consumed by revenge [who] takes his crew on a death mission fueled by his own ego and will to control an enigmatic alien.”

Yeah, it sounds completely wild and coming from Ramsay, we couldn’t be more excited. The director revealed almost an entire year ago that the film will mostly take place in a ship, which gives off a Das Boot-like claustrophobic feel. The same production company is on board for her Gun, which will kick off in January so hopefully after that’s all said and done, it doesn’t take long for us to see this project come to screen.

Are you excited for a sci-fi film from Ramsay?
