When you’re a Hollywood A-lister like Leonardo DiCaprio there’s no shortage of projects at your disposal, so when yet another arrives at this feet, we can’t help but being a little wary it’ll actually get made. The latest comes from author Jo Nesbø, who plans to publish his upcoming novel Blood in the Snow this spring, and Warner Bros. & DiCaprio’s Appian Way have snatched up the rights.

The first entry into a two-part series (the latter being More Blood on the Water, coming spring 2015), DiCaprio is eying the project — not only as a producer, but also a potential star. Penned under Nesbø’s pseudonym, Tom Johansson, the book tracks a hitman who is given a mission by his boss to kill his wife, but he soon falls in love with her.

Making it no less than 30 projects he’s attached to, we’ll have to see if DiCaprio takes a keen liking to this one. With Nesbø a hot commodity in Hollywood, as directors circle an adaptation of his novel, The Snowman, and Warner Bros. holding the rights to another one of his books, The Son, perhaps it’s added incentive to get this project moving along.
