More unknowns have been added to the expansive cast of the tent pole adaptation of Suzanne Collin’s Hunger Games. After casting the tributes of Districts 1, 11 and 12, the film’s producers have revealed Ethan Jamieson and Tara Macken will join the film, playing the teenaged warriors of District 4. {EW}

While the mop-topped Jamieson has only two small roles to his credit, Macken is an actress with a noteworthy sideline in stunts. This seems a smart choice, as fans of the book may recall it was the wily female tribute of District 4 that joined the Careers to track down early favorite Katniss Everdeen, the girl tribute out of District 12 who will be played by Winter’s Bone’s Jennifer Lawrence. It’s sure to be a role where Macken’s stunt skills will come in handy.

In other (and more star-studded news), Elizabeth Banks has officially signed on to play PR maven, Effie Trinket, in Gary Ross’ adaptation. She announced this to her Twitter followers by asking they name the source of this cheeky comment, “I’m smiling at you even though you’re aggravating me.” Once some crafty HG fans sited the sayer as Ms. Trinket, Banks confirmed, saying, “Yes! And I can now confirm I’m EFFIE TRINKET in @TheHungerGames. So excited!”

This line (which one can assume has been included in The Hunger Games script) nicely encapsulates the core personality of Trinket. As the public relations liaison for the gruff tomboy Katniss and her affable partner Peeta, Effie is in turns sweet and sniping. Banks, who was an early favorite for the role, is an excellent choice as she’s often balanced sassy and sweet – most recently as the cutting conservative commentator Avery Jessup on 30 Rock. In short, this is a part Banks is sure to knock out of the park.

Now we’ll just have to see if John C. Reilly signs on to play Haymitch…
