With it being a few years since his last feature, Mysterious Skin director Gregg Araki is now finalizing quite a cast for his next film. We’ve let you know The Descendants star Shailene Woodley, Casino Royale‘s Eva Green and lead of the upcoming Evil Dead remake Shiloh Fernandez will make up the cast for the film now titled White Bird in a Blizzard, but Deadline has a few more additions.

Man of Steel star Chris Meloni has now taken the male lead role in the film, while Precious star Gabourey Sidibe, who last popped up in Seven Psychopaths, also joins the ensemble. We don’t have any specific details on their roles, but the film written by Araki follows Woodley as a woman whose life starts to upend after her mother disappears. If we had to take a guess, Meloni will take the character of lead detective on the case, as his Law & Order: SVU experience should come in handy. Check back for updates on the film we expect to see on the festival circuit later next year.

Are you looking forward to the next project from Araki?
